Count what is usable now

Start with the garments already available in the relevant size and type. Set aside pieces that are no longer usable for the intended purpose. Keep bodysuits separate from full-length garments if you are planning them as different categories. This prevents the same item being counted twice in a shopping plan.

Estimate your own routine

Choose how many days you normally go between laundry loads, how many changes you want to plan for each day and the number of spare garments you would like available. These are your assumptions, not our recommendations. They can change as your household routine changes.

Use simple arithmetic

The planner multiplies laundry-interval days by planned daily changes, adds your spare quantity, rounds up, and subtracts usable garments already owned. It never produces a negative shopping gap. The result is an organising estimate only; it does not predict growth, prescribe a size or assess a baby’s needs.

Buy to resolve a gap, not a number on a guide

Compare the estimate with your experience before buying. A smaller first purchase may be enough to learn whether the size and closure work for you. Re-run the plan when your routine changes rather than treating the output as a permanent requirement. The tool uses no account and does not request a child’s name or birth date.
