Make a size list before choosing a print
List each wearer’s required size using the selected retailer’s current chart. Keep the list on your own device; there is no need to upload names, birthdays or children’s measurements to this site. Find the most difficult size first and then check the rest of the group. A collection page showing adults and children is not proof that a design is available in every size.
Choose matching or coordinating
Exact matching means the same design across the group. Coordinating can mean a shared colour or a similar theme, which gives you more flexibility. Do not sacrifice the intended use or fit of a child’s garment to complete a photograph. Treat baby clothing, children’s sleepwear and adult loungewear as separate categories with their own product information.
Check the entire delivery plan
Record each seller’s handling time, estimated delivery window and destination eligibility. A label such as “Canada” on a store does not guarantee the same service to every postal code. Leave room for uncertainty rather than treating an estimate as a promise. When the outfit is for a specific event, ask the retailer any timing questions before paying.
Plan for one person changing their mind
Read the return and exchange terms for the exact items, especially discounted or personalised ones. Keep a note of which garment belongs to which order and retain the confirmation emails. A flexible coordinating theme is often easier to adjust than a plan that depends on one final size becoming available.
Your before-you-buy checklist
- Check every size independently.
- Choose an exact match or a colour theme.
- Confirm delivery for the destination and date.
